History of brand name izipizi

The word izipizi has a long and storied history. The brand name dates all the way back to 1827, when French optician Aimé Marchasson first created a design Inspired by the Roman character Mercurius, who was often depicted wearing winged glasses, Marchasson created a unique style of spectacles that featured two small wings on either side of the frame. This innovative design quickly caught on, and  became one of the most popular brands of reading glasses in France. 

Today, izipizi originally known as See-concept and founded in 2010 continues to be a leader in the eyewear industry, offering a wide range of fashionable and functional glasses for both men and women. READING GLASSES STRENGTHS-WHAT MIGHT I NEED?

Please note this is only a guide. Your optician should advise you on your reading strength.

 The powers that we stock are readily available from +1 to +3.5. They increase in dioptre steps of +0.5. +1, +1.5 etc.

You can usually find the strength printed on the arm of the glasses or on the lens sticker.

+1 is one of the weaker strengths of magnification and +3.5 the highest we can provide.

Typically, by age 40- to 50-year-olds might need strengths +1-+1.5.

Age 51 to 55 +1.5 to +2

Age 56-60 +2

Age 61-65 +2.5 -+3

You should generally try them on before buying to ensure they are not too strong for you.

If for instance you thought, you needed a +2 and it felt blurry go back to a weaker strength say +1.5.

The strengths should be comfortable on your eyes and give clear magnified vision.

You should also consider buying several different strengths depending on what you need them for.

For instance, you might normally be a +1.5 but do close needle work and would benefit from a stronger magnification say +3.

If you do a lot of computer work, consider buying computer screen reading glasses. They will give you magnification and protection from 40% of the blue light.
