Eye Respect-Quality,Class and British!
In September Judith and I visited Silmo which is a trade show for all things fashionable to do with eyewear, which is held on the outskirts of Paris. We visited our established suppliers See-Concept and I Need You and then walked the halls looking for inspiration. Boy did we find it!
There is a company called Eye Respect which are based in London. This company was at Silmo and we stopped to talk and to look at the range of sunglasses that they were exhibiting. They were very hospitable and after being shown their range, they agreed that we could buy a selection of their glasses. We were very grateful for the opportunity as this company has featured prominently in the Sunday Times Style magazine.
We have purchased sunglasses from their LDNR range and their Eye Respect range. The company has just signed a deal with Zeiss vision to supply the lenses and the ALEX black crystal and DC vintage tort both have Zeiss lenses and feature on the website.
Jonathan van Blerk (CEO &Creative Director) has this to say about his products:
" I don`t believe there is a trick to finding the right sunglasses. it is too restrictive to say that certain shapes suit certain faces. we challenge ourselves to ensure every style works perfectly.properly fitted sunglasses will look great on any face. sunglasses change your expression,so we design our frames with unique personality that compliments our wearers own style. Our "Respect for Craft" ethos considers frame proportions, angles and curvature sometimes trial and error but always precise and never finished until the result is flawless. I want everyone to be able tp enjoy all eyeywear trends and to feel comfortable and confident wearing Eye Respect"
Having purchased the glasses we received a hearty British handshake from Grant and a welcome glass of red wine.
